Description

Porcelain veneers can dramatically transform the appearance of your smile. Porcelain Veneers are placed directly onto your existing teeth and are customized to fit the details of your smile. Veneers can change the size, shape, texture, color, and length of your teeth.

DR. DANIEL C. DELROSE, DDS: Veneers are thin layers of porcelain that we place over your natural teeth. It's sort of like if you have a countertop with Formica on it, and you're not happy with the color anymore, maybe the shape or the size; someone will come in and roughen the top of it up, and they'll put a new thin layer of Formica over the top of your counter. Sort of the same idea; porcelain veneers are thin layers of porcelain we put over your teeth, so if your teeth are slightly crooked or rotated, or you're not happy with the shape, color, or size of it, we can go ahead and roughen the tooth structure up where we don’t take away a lot of structure, and we put a porcelain over the top of it. In fact, porcelain veneers are ideal compared to white filling material or white bonding because porcelain veneers won't stain over time. Sometimes there are added steps when we do porcelain veneers because we want you to be happy with your smile. Everyone has their own idea of how youthful they want to look, and I want to make sure you're happy with your smile. So sometimes we'll have a wax mockup of your teeth, sometimes we'll try teeth in at different colors and see exactly what you want and what you're looking for. Because I want to be your advocate, I want you to be happy. Because when you're happy when you're out in public having a good time, and I see you laughing and smiling when we're out together, then I'll be happy because I know I did a good job. And I don’t want people to come up to you and see oh, what did you do to your teeth? I want people to say oh my gosh, you look so much younger. Did you dye your hair, did you get a haircut? That's the result we're looking for.
