This lady did not like the appearance of her two front teeth as they were inclined backwards. Before beginning work we had to establish the reason why her front teeth were wearing thin and chipping. The front tooth on the right also had a large vertical fracture in the enamel, which is quite difficult to see.
We scrutinized her diet and habits to no avail. After a lot of soul searching she discovered that when she was stressed she would bite her hair. With this discovery we were able to reconstruct her teeth using pressed porcelain veneers. These were cemented with fluoride releasing cement which has and will continue to reinforce the thin and cracked enamel underneath, this process is called prophylactic rejuvenation of enamel.
