Aneurysm rupture causes the death of thousands of people each year, most of whom are men over the age of 65. In a recent study, researchers were able to cut the number of deaths from aneurysm rupture in half by using ultrasound to perform regular aneurysm screenings on a group of older men. By detecting problems early, doctors were able to intervene and save lives.
